Your duties
As a writer, you do more than just write. You make sure that everything at TBT is running smoothly, no spam etc. Also answer anyone's questions whenever possible =). If someone suggests a tutorial, you can choose to write it or not, but make sure you say so, so everyone knows that someone is already writing it =).

Try to submit at least 1 tutorial/guide/article per week. Your writing must be at least 4 short paragraphs long unless you do step-by-step or you're covering a short topic. No stealing whatsoever. Oh, and make sure the work you submit isn't already covered on TBT. Screenshots only when nessecary. Each writing should consist of no chatspeak, cussing or anything rude/innapropriate. Work can be submitted to me with the staff submission form ;). Try to spell and grammar check your work before you submit it to me ;). Please tell me if you are going on a vacation/hiatus as well. Note that all your content will stay on TBT if you quit. Oh, and PLEASE MAKE SURE that if you work for another website, you aren't submitting the same content to them. This will make everything messed up lol.

Posting News
To post news, click "Cutenews" under Staff Area//Private Stuffs. Login with your username (your name) and password. No impersonating is allowed.

When posting an update, feel free to be as random and hyper as you like (xD), but no extreme chatspeak, etc. If your talking about a new tutorial you wrote, it would be nice if you talked about the tutorial a little bit, what it's called, what it teached etc. Whenever you post news, please post with an actual update! Usually each update should have at least 1 tutorial unless you're going on hiatus and updating on that. You don't have to wait until I put your tutorial up to post, you can post before I put your content up if you like and say "I hope Nicolette puts it up soon" or something like that ;).

When you first get accepted, you get editor level on cutenews. This means you don't have to wait until I approve your news, I trust you enough already ;). You also get to edit your news if you forgot to say something or just wrote a new tutorial etc. Do not edit someone else's news. Make sure you put your news under the category "News" or you won't be able to edit your post :(. Also, if you already posted that day and you want to make a second post on the same day, don't. Instead, just edit your last post.

To add news, click add news, and [obviously], to edit your news click edit news and find your post to edit. When your adding news, don't edit the avatar URL, 'cause your avvie URL is there already =). When you're posting a link, make sure you make it come up in a new window. If you are unsure about how to do this, go to Chapter I of Making a Website.

Now onto the blogging. You should know already that TBT is a part blog site, so in your news posts you can blog about your life or anything similar. Do not blog in the regular posting box, instead look to the bottom (at the links) and click something that says "Toggle full story". In the box that justs pops up you may blog in there ;).

Before you get listed on the staff page...
Yes! You must do something before you get on the staff page. First, you must fill out this form and send it to Nicolette. Forms with an aterisk (*) are NOT required.

Secondly, you have to make and submit 1 tutorial that fits the requirements to Nicolette. You must also post at least 1 news post introducing yourself and talking about the tutorial you submitted.

After that, you are an official staff member on The Brain Tree! Congrats :3
