Getting prepared
Open up your Microsoft Paint. If you don't know how to do that, or if you're unsure if you have it or not, go to Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> Paint. If you still can't find it there, go to Start >> Search >> For files or folders.... Once your in Paint, go to Image >> Attributes. Set the height and width to 100 (don't worry this is not your layout's size). Then "Ok". Now I want you to find a background image to use for this guild layout. If you're looking for Celeb, try using google, and as for neopet-related guild layouts, look at the "Find neo background images" tutorial on TBT, but do not use the TCG cards. ;-). But wait- don't find your image yet, before you go image hunting you must know that the image MUST have a solid color somewhere on the bottom or top of the image. Example? Here:

As you can see, on the bottom of the image, there is a solid color.

Desgining...
Once you've chosen your background image, go back to paint and paste it (Ctrl and V). It will ask you if you want to make the bipmap bigger, and answer "Yes". Now go to Image >> Attributes again and change the HEIGHT only to 600. Choose the zoom tool (magnifying glass) and and zoom in on the bottom of your image. Use the dropper tool, then choose the last color you see before you see the white. Zoom out. Choose the fill tool and fill in the white.

Thee boxes
Yup, now you have to do your boxes! Simply choose a color swatch below, any. Double click on it. Click "Define Custom Colors". Now find a color that's a lot darker thatn the color you filled in the white. "OK". Choose the non-dotted rectangle tool. Just below the toolbar, check the first choice (the rectangle with no fill). Now draw your first box. Next double click on the color (from the swatches) you just used from the swatches, then "Define custom colors", then choose a color a few shades lighter-- but not too light xD. Now click "OK", then choose the fill tool. Color in the box. Double click on the color you just used (from the swatches) and "Define custom colors". You can choose any color you want (I'm gonna use white), as long as it's not th same as the last two colors you used xD. Next zoom into your box using the magnifying tool. Choose the non-dotted rectangle tool and draw a box just inside the box border. Repeat all of that for each box (you may want to use the dropper tool instead of doing the swatch thing though ;=)).

Extra touches
Now we're gonna add a border, because I dislike all graphics without a border =P. Just use the shape tool, choose a dark color that fits with the guild layout color scheme, and draw one around the whole image. It may take a while to perfect your border, but........
You can also add text ;-). This includes credit to yourself. =P After you're done, save (.png recommended).
Here's how my guild layout turned out:
Hope this helped you!
