Timed Updates
Trying to avoid a hiatus? Timed updates will help you. Make a ton of graphics/tutorials at once, then decide what days you'll update what. Grab the first graphics/tutorials and add news. Post on what you'd normally update, then instead of actually adding the news, go to press 'Article Options' and then click Postpone news. Then set the specific date for when you'll update. Do this with each of your updates ;).

CSS only in cutenews
Okay, so you want a special CSS for your cutenews page only. So what you need to do is Options >> Edit Templates. Then active news. Put in your CSS there ;). Yes, it's weird but it's the only way I know of xDDD. Make sure, like always, to end your head and style tags. If you're stuck on CSS, there are lots of CSS tutorials in the internet world, so use uber useful google =P.

Credit to someone on the bottom of news page only
We all know that credit to someone for hosting your cutenews, making your cutenews template etc on every single post can be annoying, so we will put it on the bottom of the whole news page. Go to Options >> Edit Templates then News Pagination. Put the credit either on top of the whole code or on the bottom, it doesn't really matter :P

Specific posts (such as neo news posts) on one page only
This is very useful for things such as neo news posts or faerie crossword answers if you want to separate them from your site related posts. To do this, you'll have to make a category/categories. Create a category by going Options >> Edit Categories. Choose a specific name for your category, preferably something that has to do with the news that you're trying to separate. Icon URL is optional. Category access should be "Everyone can write". Also make another category for your site news. Now edit all the posts that you want to be separate from your other news posts and change the categories to the appropriate category. Do the same with your main site news, but obviously put it in the main site news category xD. This is the link that you will use for the news you want to separate from the site news:
http://yoursite.domain/cutenews/show_news.php/category
Replace yoursite.domain with yoursite's URL, and replace category with the appropriate category. Now on your site's opening frame, change the URL to the same thing but instead of the separate news category, do the site's news category.
